Composition:
ALPAPLAK pannels are made of plaster, pearl, and reinforced fiber.
Environmentally Friendly Product:
The products that compose the ALPAPLAK panels are 100% mineral, therefore they are environmentally friendly materials, and do not pollute the environment. As a chemical, they are neutral, with a PH 7, so, they do not attack other minerals, and are completely free of asbestos.
Humidity Test:
In order to confirm their tolerance to humidity, the panels have undergone a constant temperature of 38ºC and a 95% of humidity for 30 days. No alterations in their properties and characteristics, nor distortions or cracks were detected after the test.

Humidity Absorption and Comfort.
Given their highly absorption capacity, ALPAPLAK panels work as "atmosphere regulators", by absorbing excess humidity and restoring it as soon as the atmosphere goes dry. Other feature of these panels is transpiration, with a rate of spreading of water vapor 15 times lower than trough the air. This means that rooms with ALPAPLAK ceilings are cooler in summer and warmer in winter, giving a nice feeling of comfort.
Thermal Insulation:
Given the extreme porosity of the ALPAPLAK panels, thermal conductivity is only 0,16 KCa1. Hm0C.compared to other products traditionally considered as warm. The rate of thermal penetration (which depends on the rate of thermal conductivity, density and specific heat) is very low. Whenever you wish to improve thermal insulation, we can supply you with our ALPAPLAK-TERM models, which come with a polystyrene pannel 20 mm thick on them. This type of polystyrene is biodegradable and M-O.
Acoustic Absorption :
ALPAPLAK ceilings will give you an excellent result for soundproofing. Our ceilings perforated with fiber and aluminium paper are highly recommended for classrooms , music halls etc... our fiber, and acoustic veil grilles are also very suitable for busy public places.
Soundproofing :
For a simple wall, Berger´s law proves that the higher the surface mass the better the soundproofing. The higher mass of the ALPAPLAK ceilings compared to other lower density products, makes them just perfect for an effective soundproofing. There is also an insulating air chamber between the ceiling and the main structure.
Fire Resistance:
ALPAPLAK panels have an excellent performance against fire. This performance is based on the principle that when a fire occurs, the heat provokes the split of the molecular linkage and the loss of crystallization water.
Fire Reaction :
ALPAPLAK ceilings have undergone tests to determine their fire reaction level and have obtained the highest mark M-O, in other words, completely incombustible. their reaction against fire is one of complete inertia. the caloric energy is 18 KCa1. Kg. and oficial standards state M-0 for values under 600 KCal. Kg.
Ceiling Maintenance :
A simple Brushing allows to remove any prints after laying. The maintenance of our ceilings is very simple, and can be easily repainted, with the traditional paint roller or with a spray gun, maintaining all their original characteristics.
Easy Access to the plenum:
Our ceilings can be easily lifted just by pushing with your hands. This allows you a quick and easy access to the area between the ceiling and the roof structure for any maintenance or installation of air conditioning, ventillation systems, heating, piped music, telephone lines, smoke detectors, plumbing, warter piles etc...
Packing List and Transport:
The 600x600 ALPAPLAK panels either straight-edged or L-shape edged, come in 6-unit-packs, 2,16 m2 in total. A pallet has 42 boxes, making 90,72 m2.
1200x600 ALPAPLAK panels are packed in boxes of 4 units, 2,88 m2 per box. A total of 30 boxes go on a pallet which makes 86.40 m2.
ALPAPLAK panel are packed in cardboard boxes. Once on the pallet are wrapped in retractable platic with a protective cover, this plastic is specially designed against solar radiation, which allows storage outdoors for four months.
Approved Products:
All our range of ALPAPLAK panels undergo rigorous annual tests in order to control measurements, weight...These tests are carried out by specialist from the Ministry of Industry and Energy, issuing the CERTIFICATE OF PRODUCTION APPROVAL in accordance with the official regulations on endorsement for this type of product.
